Founder and President

My name is Kelly McManimon, and I am Charlie’s mama. Charlotte (Charlie) is our middle daughter. My husband Ryan and I have four kids. Elliott our eldest daughter, is constantly singing, creating plays, reading, playing soccer and generally parenting us all. She is kind, loving, empathetic and fiercely protective of her sister Charlie’s memory. Crosby was our rainbow baby, born almost four years after Charlie died. He is energetic, funny, and loves his daddy more than anything, emulating how to build while constantly carrying his tools, (fake) phone and paperwork around. He never stops moving, seriously…never! He is a hockey fanatic and will go to practice a game and then still come home to shoot pucks (in the kitchen) all night long. Crosby never got to meet his sister but talks about her regularly and still misses her all the same. Tucker is our youngest and just arrived, he is almost 5 months old and the happiest baby in the world. We are excited to see what he enjoys and what his passions will be, and will of course make sure he knows and loves his older sister Charlie. Ryan is an amazing daddy, husband and contractor. He is always busy building or creating something new. He has an eye for creating beautiful spaces and furniture pieces and like Crosby almost never stops moving. We all miss our little lady a lot.  In addition to being Elliott, Charlie, Crosby and Tucker's mom, I am a medical social worker at an area hospital.  For the last several years I have also worked part time with the University of Minnesota as a bereaved parent educator teaching residents and fellows in a simulation program how to have end of life conversations. We are so grateful that through our grief journey we continue to see Charlotte’s legacy carry on through this foundation. We are so grateful for your support and dedication to more children like Charlie.
